Mr. T. Boone Pickens


Steven Pottle, the author of the Pottle Energy Plan, has watched Mr. Pickens career through the media and through his work in the energy industry for many years. While attending college, in 1984, he watched Mr. Pickens in admiration as he attempted to take over Phillips Petroleum. He later watched as he took a large equity position in a Japanese Company to demonstrate how closed their economy was to foreign investment. Of course, Pottle then watched Mr. Pickens build Mesa Petroleum into a leading energy company.


Mr. Pickens is a leading American and should be applauded for his leadership on developing an energy plan for our country. Although we have significant differences on how we should reach our goals, we respect Mr. Pickens for his significant efforts.
